1 Year of Make it with Madison!

It's crazy to think about, but today marks the one-year anniversary of this blog! The past year has flown by so fast. I've really enjoyed posting my crafts, patterns, and recipes here to share with you all! For those who subscribed and/or have been reading my posts, thank you very much! I look forward to (hopefully) many more years of doing this.

I first mentioned something to my husband about starting a blog last September. I had graduated with my master's degree a few months before then and felt the need to find something else to do to occupy that time. Since I already enjoyed crocheting and cooking --and was doing lots of crafts for my job at the library-- I thought this would be a great way to keep a record what I was doing and share it with anyone who would be interested.

Oftentimes I'm a hesitant person, especially when jumping into something new, so my husband was the one who really pushed me to start Make it with Madison. He set up the website, got me started on the design and concept of Make it with Madison, and has even helped with some of my ideas! He's been my #1 fan since day one and continues to be supportive in all my endeavors both with the blog and in everyday life. Truly, I'm grateful for him, as I probably wouldn't have had the courage to start this blog without him.

It makes me happy to know that by doing the things I enjoy and posting them on this blog in the form of recipes, patterns, or other instructions; I can help others learn something new, or at least provide interesting reading material.
