Harvest Apron
I haven't made an apron since I first started sewing - almost three years ago! I was inspired to make this one because I'm planning on having a garden this year and thought the apron would be useful when harvesting everything. Aprons are a good starter project for individuals new to sewing because it's a good way to ease into garment making without having to delve into a complicated pattern. Sewing this apron, I could tell just how much I'd learned over the past few years. I'

Quilted Tote with Pockets
I've actually been wanting to make a tote like this for a while - something I can carry over my shoulder that is sturdy and has pockets! I'm so happy I got the chance to make one this week. I love how customizable sewing projects, including bags, are. You can really choose any fabric or combination of colors you want and just have fun with creating the project! Materials: About 1 yard fabric for outside of tote bag About 1 yard fabric for inner lining of tote bag About 1 yar

Heart-Shaped Oven Mitts
After making this pattern, I think I might have to make more oven mitts! This was so simple to put together in a short morning sew and I had a lot of fun quilting the heart fabric. Festive Tree Decoration
A couple weeks ago I was shopping for Christmas decorations with my sister. Among the ornaments, garlands, and tinsel, we found sewn Christmas trees! These trees were very similar to the ones in this post. It turns out that they're actually pretty easy to make and don't require much fabric. If you wanted, they could even be made fancier with ribbon bows, stars, or jingle bell charms. For this project, I made my own template using a printed out silhouette of a pine tree and tr

Pie or Casserole Dish Carrier
Ever since I saw this idea on Pinterest years ago, I've been wanting to make one of these carriers! It would be so nice to have and I feel like I would get a lot of use out of one! However, my first attempt at making one of these didn't go great. I ended up making it too small! It could fit some containers, but not a pie dish like I was hoping, so for this post I ended up changing the size to be a few inches bigger so everything should fit! I have so many cute fabrics I woul
