Knitting Machine Beanies

Since I posted about my knitting machine a couple months ago, I've been practicing much more! Beanies are one of the easiest things to make on a knitting machine and once you get the hang of it, they can take less than 30 minutes to crank out. I used an Addi king-size knitting machine for this project, which has 46 needles.

Materials:
Knitting machine
Yarn of choice (about 150 yards for an adult-sized beanie)
Scissors
Needle
Instructions:
Make sure the machine is set to circular mode. Cast onto your machine. Crank slowly for the first couple of rounds to make sure the needles aren't dropping stitches.

Knit 140 rows for an adult-sized hat. Use the needle to thread the yarn tail through the loops from the last row to cast off. This hat will be double layered, so once you close up one end, pull it through the tube (towards the other end of the hat). Close the end of the hat up and knot. Make sure loose yarn ends are tucked in.
If you would like to knit a child size hat, only knit 120 rows. You can add a pom pom to the top, but it's not necessary.
