The first year I was married, I bought several picture ornaments. This was partially because I didn't have a lot of Christmas ornaments at the time, and because I wanted more pictures of my husband and I around the house! I haven't bought many ornaments since, but I did find this cute idea for crocheted picture ornaments that I thought was wonderful! This one didn't take me long to do at all. I was able to watch a Christmas movie, take a hot cocoa break, and still finish the ornament about 20 minutes before the movie was over!

Materials:
Medium(4) acrylic yarn in green and red
5 mm crochet hook
Scissors
Crochet/tapestry needle
Instructions:
Wreath front:
Start with green yarn.
Round 1: Slip knot. Chain 15. Slip stitch to form a ring.
Round 2: Chain 2. 24 double crochet (DC) in the ring. Slip stitch to connect.
Round 3: Chain 3. Slip stitch into next stitch. Repeat.
At the end of the round, chain 1, cut yarn end, and knot securely to finish.
Weave in yarn ends.
Wreath back:
Continue working with green yarn.
Round 1: Make a magic circle. DC 12. Slip stitch to connect.
Round 2: Chain 2. DC, increase every stitch. Slip stitch to connect.
Chain 10, slip stitch to join at the bottom. This will form the hanging loop for your ornament.
Chain 1, cut yarn end, and knot securely to finish.
Weave in yarn ends.
Finishing the wreath:
Using your needle (and a long piece of green yarn), stitch the back of the wreath to the front part. Make sure each end is knotted securely and that all tails are tucked away.
Use the needle and a long piece of red yarn to form the ribbon. Stitch around the wreath and tie the ends together in a bow.
Choose any picture you would like to insert on this ornament. Make sure the picture is cut to size before trying to use.
