For this project, I used a little less than a skein (236 yds) of 100% acrylic yarn. The brand is Red Heart, and the color I used was baby rainbow. The yarn thickness was medium (4), so I used my 5.0 mm hook. This beanie hat is an easy project and very beginner-friendly.
Start with a slipknot. Then, chain 35.
Begin SC (single crochet) rows. Continue SC until you've done about 50 rows. Be sure to measure the beanie length to your head as you go.

Use a crochet sewing needle (or hook) to stitch the side of the piece together, forming a tube. Knot at ends.

Using the needle (or hook) thread yarn through one side of the tube, around in a circle (like the top of a drawstring bag). Stitch around another time to secure and knot off.
Make sure to weave in the ends of your project. Stay warm and enjoy your new beanie!
